Nowadays a lot of people are suffering from wrist / hand problems caused by working at a computer all day using the mouse + keyboard. The development of ergonomic hardware has improved this, but they can only help so much.

Depending on your line of work using your hands on a daily basis could be very important so try doing some of the exercises

Performing simple stretches and exercises on a daily basis will greatly help prevent and rehabilitate any injuries / strains caused, it only takes a couple of minutes but will make a huge difference.

This is why accessories come in so handy, you can keep them on your desk, in your car or in your bag. They can be used whenever and wherever.

The Prayer Stretch

Start with your palms together fingers pointing up near the chin.

Lower your hands down to your waist, keeping them close to your body then stop when you feel a nice stretch.

Keep this position for around 10-20 seconds, then raise the hands back up to your chin.

Repeat this 3 times.

Wrist Flexor Stretch

Fully extend your arm out in front, palm facing upwards.

Using your other hand, bend your wrist making sure the fingers point up to the sky.

Do this until you feel a good stretch in the wrist forearm and hand.

Hold the position for around 10-20 seconds then repeat 3-5 times on both hands.

Wrist Extensor Stretch

Fully extend your arm out in front, palm facing down.

Using your other hand, bend your wrist towards you making sure the fingers point down to the floor.

Do this until you feel a good stretch in the wrist forearm and hand.

Hold the position for around 10-20 seconds then repeat 3-5 times on both hands.

Although they can look a little confusing at first, the finger exercisers are really simple to use. Just hook the hoops over your fingers. Using the bottom middle on your thumb. 

You want them to be on the tips of your fingers, high enough so you get a full range of motion, but low enough so they don’t fall off. Once you have attempted it a few times you will find the sweet spot no problem.
